Reddit user Jxnnybxii88 recently posted an image of their Animal Crossing: New Horizon replica of Dunder-Mifflin from The Office that is packed to the brim with office furniture and computers. The Office blew up in popularity when it was featured on Netflix, and the paper company from Scranton, Pennsylvania from the series is notoriously chaotic and mismanaged. This messiness is reflected in the office setting, and Jxnnybxii88's Animal Crossing: New Horizons room has been designed to include most of the staff's setups in the limited space available.
The Office isn't the first sitcom to be reflected in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as fans of other shows have created scenes from Friends and The IT Crowd, but Jxnnybxii88's room adds to the growing list. Jxnnybxii88's Animal Crossing: New Horizons room based on The Office is a cluster of furniture spaced strategically, with some setting-appropriate items hanging on the wall. The non-office-specific furniture included in the setup is a black sofa, Autograph Cards, Schefflera, Rattan Table Lamp, and more.
According to Jxnnybxii88, this Animal Crossing: New Horizons setup inspired by The Office took about two hours of trial and error to create. The desks of Pam, Jim, Dwight, Creed, Meredith, Angela, Kevin, and Oscar are all represented in the confined and cluttered space, while Stanley and Phillis' setups are excluded. Jxnnybxii88 also stated that they wanted to reflect the entrance to Steve Carell's character Michael Scott's office with a wallpaper or custom Animal Crossing: New Horizons design because they didn't have room to place an additional object like a Simple Panel or partition.
Several New Horizons fans have taken to Jxnnybxii88's recreated Dunder-Mifflin, with some making further recommendations for other rooms that are available as players repay their debt to the long-standing realtor and businessman in Animal Crossing, Tom Nook. One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player that's an enthusiast of The Office noted that Jxnnybxii88 could use Mom's Art to wall-mount Pam's painting of the building featured in the sitcom, which Jxnnybxii88 expressed appreciation for the tip, suggesting they might add it to the setup. Another Animal Crossing fan stated that they've tried to make their own version of Dunder-Mifflin in New Horizons but wasn't able to make something that looked as good as Jxnnybxii88's in the tight confines.
