There's a lot to see and do along the Sword Coast of Faerun, the setting of Baldur's Gate 3. While the adventuring party is traveling from Rivington to the city of Baldur's Gate, they can enjoy the sights and sounds of Wyrm's Crossing, in particular the famous Sharess' Caress.

Baldur's Gate 3: What Is the Rapture Buff and How to Get It
Here's everything that players need to know about the Rapture Buff in Baldur's Gate 3.
Every role-playing game needs a tavern, and this one also doubles as a brothel in keeping with the adult themes of the game. It's impossible to avoid Sharess' Caress if the protagonist wants to finish some of the quests that started earlier in the game and continue as they move into the city.
Wyrm's Crossing
Wyrm's Crossing is a part of the Dungeons & Dragons as a location of interest and a variety of campaigns take place there. Compared to other regions in the game, it's smaller than average, which isn't a surprise because it's only one-half of a bridge that leads to Baldur's Gate.
There's a lot to do in this one small space. Most of the important and interesting NPCs can be found in either Sharess' Caress or the building across the street, Fraygo's Flophouse.
Wyrm's Crossing is one of the first places that the party will find after Rivington and has a Waypoint called The South Span of Wyrm's Crossing. The Waypoint is next to the front door to Sharess' Caress. To get to the Waypoint, and find Sharess' Caress, there are a few steps the player has to follow.
Wyrm's Fortress is the far side of the bridge where players can find Gortash and attend his coronation. It's not possible to access this section without permission of some kind, either in the form of an invitation to the coronation or special permission from Inspector Valeria.

Baldur's Gate 3: How To Romance Gale
Gale is an underrated romance option in Baldur's Gate 3. Here's how players can win this wizard's heart.
Access To Wyrm's Crossing
There are checkpoints along the road from Rivington to Baldur's Gate because of the impending invasion and the flood of refugees. There's an impressive force of Steel Watch, Flaming Fist guards, and Paladins keeping traffic from moving into the city.
There are a few ways to get past them and keep in mind that one strategy is to send a single character in to get the Waypoint and then port in their companions.
It's possible to talk to the guards at the entrance to Wyrm's Crossing, and they lead Tav to believe that it's possible to bribe them to let you through. However, they only take the gold and have no intention of letting the party on the bridge.
- Jump. This is the easiest and most obvious way to bypass the guards. When the player faces the bridge, there's a path off to the right, leading down to the shoreline. Walk down it just a few meters and it's easy to use the Jump ability to access some of the lower wooden balconies of homes on the bridge.
- Fight. An option for those taking a darker path, this also might be the most difficult because the Steel Watch can take the party out in a single swipe. Make sure to make some serious tactical preparations before trying this.
- Jailbreak. Get arrested for something, like picking pockets or breaking into a house, and take the option of going to prison. Once there, it's possible to break out and backtrack to the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing.
- Shapechange. Characters that can take animal forms can slink, hop, or fly past the guards unnoticed and free of charge. By now either Jaheira or Halsin are available as companions if the party is lacking a Druid.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Tiefling Race Guide?
Here's everything the player needs to know about BG3's Tiefling race.
Sharess' Caress
A deep rose awning and a fancy golden sign welcome even the most prudish visitors to Sharess' Caress. It's the first big building on the right, literally right next to the Waypoint, across the street from Fraygo's Flophouse.
Sharess' Caress is a three-story building extending to the other side of the street, but there are no access points to get in unless the player wants to pick some locks or use a special ability. Even if the protagonist is averse to visiting a house of ill repute, it's strongly recommended that they visit just for the ambiance and the questlines.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available for PC and PlayStation 5. A version for Xbox Series X|S is currently in development.
