Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14 dropped recently, and it is safe to say that quite a lot of exciting information was finally revealed to the readers, especially about the Shinju. In fact, this chapter was incredibly rich when it comes to information on these antagonists for the upcoming Arc of the series, and it is safe to say that now, they are looking set to be bigger dangers than ever before. Not only did fans get to see the emergence of a new Shinju, as well as who that particular Shinju was based on, but at the same time, they also got to see quite a lot of exciting information being revealed about the likes of Jura, who, as has been made clear in the story, is leader of the current pack of Shinju.

The process of the creation of Shinju is not something that it's too hard for the fans to guess. Immediately after seeing the Shinju first, fans saw Bug having been turned into a tree somehow. Then, it was revealed that when the Claw Grimes, who were created by Code, bite someone, they drain their chakra and essentially a tree sprouts from them. When that happens, somehow, a Shinju version of them appears. Now, it is clear that this doesn't happen in the case of all the ninjas.
But, those with a very strong chakra presence are usually the target. Essentially, this is the God Tree coming to life in a more humanized form, with sentience, and with desires of its own that extend beyond simply targeting the nearest source of chakra. These God Tree clones are incredibly powerful, and fans know them to be one of the biggest threats that the world of Naruto has ever faced.
In the recent chapters of Boruto, it was confirmed to the fans that the process of creation of Shinju is a bit more complicated than simply having the Claw Grimes bite someone and then them being born. In Boruto's recent chapters, it was revealed to the fans that there needs to exist a Thorn Soul Bulb before a Shinju is created. Essentially, once the Claw Grimes suck the chakra from someone and turn them into a tree, in the hideout with the Real God Tree, the roots start producing a fruit based on the chakra of the person attacked. This fruit then turns into the Thorn Soul Bulb, which essentially consists of the chakra of the person attacked.
Now then, what name shall we give you? – Jura
Then, this bulb somehow transforms into a Shinju, with the exact same powers and, in some cases, even personality traits of the parent body. So far, fans have seen three Shinju who are based on other people. In the case of Mamushi, who was one of the first Shinju to be revealed in the story, the parent body was that of Bug – an individual working closely with Code. In the case of Matsuri, fans know the parent body to be Moegi. For those who do not remember, she's a Jonin from Konoha, and the current leader of Team 10.
Most importantly, in the case of Hidari, the parent body was none other than Sasuke Uchiha. Fans clearly saw that Sasuke was attacked by Code and his army of Claw Grimes, and even though he managed to deal with them effectively, eventually, he sacrificed his life to save Boruto. At some point, he got bitten by the Claw Grimes, which turned him into a God Tree and eventually, a Thorn Soul Bulb for him was born as well. Out of this Thorn Soul Bulb, Hidari emerged.
More recently, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14, fans also saw a new Shinju named Ryu being born as well. Clearly, Ryu is based on none other than Shinki, from Sunagakure. This was confirmed in the chapter when Kankuro revealed that Gaara and Shinki were attacked recently, and now, Sunagakure is in trouble as well.

This makes the Shinju more exciting than ever before, and not only does it tie together all these exciting characters to the main plot, but at the same time, it turns them into villains, and makes them more dangerous than ever before. Of course, seeing all these powerful characters stem from heroes of the story, fans who were wondering as to who Jura was based off of. Based on what they had seen and what was established in the story, Jura must have been based on some ninja or some Otsutsuki.

However, it was essentially confirmed that Jura is not based on anyone. Jura does not have a parent body at all. Essentially, Jira is a manifestation of the Ten-Tails itself in a God Tree form. He is the strongest of Shinju and in a league of his own, even when compared to the others. That is precisely why Jura is as strong as he is, and by far, most fearsome of the lot. His strength, skill, and just about everything else is in a league of its own, and this makes him a very compelling antagonist for the story.
How Strong Is Jura At The Moment?
Jura Is Among The Strongest Naruto Characters
Of course, fans might be wondering as to how strong Jura is. They simply need to look at his recent performance against Himawari and Boruto. Jura did not even unleash his true power and was able to destroy Himawari in battle. He claimed that he could even kill Boruto, and fans know him to be at a level where not even the likes of Code can deal with him. This essentially means that Jura is a monstrously powerful foe that hardly anyone in the story can deal with, other than perhaps Isshiki at his peak and Naruto in Baryon Mode. Jura's strength is absolutely immense. Being a manifestation of the ten Tails, he has all the powers of the Ten Tails, which likely includes Wood Release as well. He has the Rinnegan, which gives him control over the Six Paths Powers, and likely a very high regeneration factor as well.

Simply put, Jura is unstoppable and a literal reincarnation of a creature capable of destroying the planet. He is clearly a monster who can hardly be taken down by anyone, and that is exactly what makes the future of the Boruto series all the more exciting. Hopefully, the next few chapters of Boruto will be focused on Jura, and fans will see him in combat even more, building himself to be an even better and stronger antagonist.
