Online stores have received a mixed response with many players wanting to unlock items, rather than pay or use loot boxes to obtain them. Like any game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's online features were questioned as the game was released and it now seems that there are problematic issues with its Season 1 Battle Pass.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot has sold plenty of copies but players have been divided about the game. This is partly due to the expectation that surrounded the game, the original Modern Warfare was one of the most popular first-person shooters of all time and naturally, fans wanted a game that lived up to the nostalgia. While fans are divided about the quality of the game, the issues with its purchasable items won't impress many players.

The in-game store places fresh items for sale every day and players simply need to exchange their real-world money for COD points. The issue players are facing is that some of these purchasable items are easily unlockable for free. The Royal Armory bundle is $14 or 1,400 COD points and includes an item that is unlockable in the game.
Most notably, players may have noticed that they can unlock the Blade of Valor gun charm by completing an objective in the Infiltrator mission, rather than purchasing The Royal Armory. Players have frequently been annoyed with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but they will certainly hope this issue concerning their finances is fixed.
The developer of Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward, has insisted it won't make changes just because of fan requests. This is understandable but when it comes to issues like value for money, Infinity Ward may be more compelled to listen to players. Despite Infinity Ward's unwillingness to change the game to the whim of all players, the studio has provided updates to issues and have continued to listen to fans.
Modern Warfare has asked fans what it will take to get fans playing. While this is an unusual technique for keeping fans interested, the direct approach may appease those who have become frustrated with the in-game store and gameplay. A key part of keeping fans will likely be in the game avoiding mishaps that undercut its value. On the other hand, certain groups have been so vocal about their dissatisfaction that the in-store issues will be just another reason to stay away from the game.
