Call of Duty: Warzone fans recently saw an interesting twist on Verdansk’s zombie outbreak, as pockets of radiation were added to the map. While this is a fun gameplay element that makes areas uninhabitable while also turning exposed players into Zombies, some Call of Duty: Warzone fans are surviving in the radiation.
As it turns out, Call of Duty: Warzone’s radiation is no match for the popular stim shot equipment. Used to heal players from damage at a faster rate, a popular exploit has seen players surviving in the gas due to this effect. As it turns out, Call of Duty: Warzone fans can do the same with the radiation zones, and no exploit is needed. If players want to hold off in these areas, they can do so as long as they can manage to keep finding stim shots.
Call of Duty: Warzone fan TwistedFate3 showed off this survival strategy while holding off inside the gulag, using a stim at the beginning of the clip. From there, the player secures their loadout and moves deeper into the prison complex, looting the lower levels. As they begin to take damage, their screen is covered with blood and it looks as if they are about to die to the radiation. Sure enough, though, they find a stim, resetting their death timer and surviving in the underbelly of the prison.
The clip continues for some time, with TwistedFate3 finding more stims as they search through the area. Clearly not interested in becoming a zombie, the gamer beats out the poisoning for several minutes, eventually finding themselves in the shower area. As they point out in the comments, this would be “useless” if the actual gas ended up on the area as well. The player would take too much damage from the combined storm and radiation, guaranteeing death regardless of some speedy stim collecting.
Still, the clip is plenty of fun, with many Redditors wondering if this strategy could lead to a win with some final circle luck. With TwistedFate3 never having the chance to see if this is possible, it is an interesting thought, and players may be seeing some fun clips related to the radiation soon. Reddit user tom2706 also made the funny comment that this trick was similar to Call of Duty: Warzone’s stim glitch, but “without the glitch.” While not game-breaking by any means, Raven Software likely did not anticipate a trick like this one.
For those that are not a fan of the radiation or player-controlled zombies, they will fortunately not have to wait much longer before they are out of the game. With Call of Duty: Warzone’s nuke event less than a week away, this lengthy build-up will be reaching an end very soon.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
