Updated January 10, 2025: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. The day many Destiny 2 fans have been waiting for is finally here as Episode Revenant is rolling forward with Act 3. In addition to new gear to collect and content to check out, Act 3 is adding Kell's Fall, a Destiny 2 exotic mission that unlocks the slug shotgun called Slayer's Fang.
Fans of the franchise also got a bit of a surprise this past weekend as the original Destiny saw an accidental update. Reports began circulating that the Tower social space was suddenly outfitted with Ghost-shaped lights and other decorations reminiscent of The Dawning. After some digging, some noted that the decorations seemingly matched assets discovered for a 2017 scrapped event called Days of the Dawning, likely scheduled for a far off date with the intention of eventually removing it after it was canceled, though likely forgotten about since.

A creative Destiny 2 player constructs a customized Guardian setup that recalls the appearance of Jinx from the Arcane animated series.
In addition to Act 3 content, the Destiny 2 weekly reset has arrived, bringing with it the usual refreshed content, activities, and rewards for players to chase over the next week. For a complete look at all the new content available for the week of January 7, including Nightfalls, Crucible modes, and challenges, here is everything players need to know.
