Disney Dreamlight Valley is set to release its first expansion, A Rift in Time. Gameloft’s beloved life sim is finally about to conclude its 15-month early access phase and the announcement was a part of the game’s first ever showcase that took place on Nov 1, 2023. The event not only unveiled this highly anticipated expansion but also provided a detailed roadmap for Disney Dreamlight Valley's 2024 content, encompassing both paid expansions and free updates.

What’s Included in Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time
A Rift in Time is the first paid expansion in Disney Dreamlight Valley set to release on December 5th, 2023. The expansion will introduce players to a new world, Eternity Isle, where they will find new characters. This world features three new biomes: Ancient’s Landing, Glittering Dunes, and Wild Tangle.
Players will find many new resources in these biomes, such as cinnamon and strawberries, and they will be able to decorate these areas however they want. Apart from fruits and veggies and other collectibles, Eternity Isle’s biomes will also introduce three new charming animals: Monkey, Cobra Snake, and Capybara.
Here are the characters that players will find in Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time.

- Rapunzel (Tangled)
- Gaston (Beauty and the Beast)
- Jafar (Aladdin).
Players will find Eve in Ancient’s Landing, Rapunzel in Wide Tangle, while Gaston can be found in the Glittering Dunes biome. Like other characters in the game, new characters will also have their fair share of friendship quests, and by completing their quests, players will be able to bring them back to the Dreamlight Valley. It’s confirmed that players will also find Jafar in Eternity Isle, but whether they can invite him to the valley remains unconfirmed.
This expansion also introduces the Royal Hourglass, the first new royal tool since Disney Dreamlight Valley's launch in September 2022. Players will find it in Eternity Isle, and as described by Gameloft, it will enable players to find hidden treasures not only in Eternity Isle, but also across Dreamlight Valley and its realms.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time is priced at $29.99, and players must own the base game to access the expansion. The expansion not only unlocks new content but also includes 5,000 Moonstones.
