Gameloft has detailed what players can expect from the Disney Dreamlight Valley paid DLC, The Storybook Vale, when it releases later in 2024. Since its release in September 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley has come a long way. The life-sim has seen a host of paid and free updates added to keep players exploring the vast world of Disney characters.

The Trick or Treat event in Disney Dreamlight Valley runs until October 31, where players create as much candy as possible before handing it out to residents in return for themed goodies. As the event enters its last few days, gamers are wondering what’s next. To this end, Gameloft has announced what players can expect from the Disney life-sim.

The Disney Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale DLC will be released in two parts, with the first set for November 20. The paid expansion pass will be available for $29.99 and introduces players to the Vale, a new land containing three new biomes, the Bind, Everafter, and Mythopia. Following on from the conclusion of A Rift in Time story arc, gamers are tasked with teaming up with Merida from Pixar’s Brave and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled to save the latest Biomes from Hades with a new item, the Royal Rod.

The second part of the expansion pass, titled The Unwritten Realms, is set to be released in 2025. Anyone looking to buy and play the Disney Dreamlight Valley: Storybook Vale expansion before December will also receive additional bonuses in the form of dark academia-themed clothing. Gameloft is also offering The Storybook Vale: Magical Edition for $49.99, which adds in new ensemble outfits, the Autumn Manor House, a Hercules-themed house with baby Pegasus, and 10,000 Moonstones.

The paid DLC expansion isn’t the only thing that players will be able to access. Free content for Disney Dreamlight Valley is coming on December 4. The "Sew Delightful" update sees Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas join as the latest Dreamlight Valley Villager, with gamers being able to undertake specific quests with her to unlock themed decorations.

Disney Dreamlight Valley appears to be going from strength to strength as the 2024-2025 roadmap takes shape. The free December 4 update will also include The Floating Islands, a new feature teased in the Dreamlight Valley August update that gives players more design space and storage. The next free updates are set to drop throughout 2025, with Gameloft teasing the addition of Jasmine and Aladdin, quests based on Alice in Wonderland, and more Peter Pan content for players to enjoy.
