Adding additional lore to the mix, Dragon Ball Daima drops the curtains on Nahare’s siblings, Degesu and Arinsu. While Degesu has yet to establish himself as a credible threat, the same cannot be said for Arinsu. The doctor’s alliance with Glorio and her cunning nature paves the way for a new perspective.
This angle shifts the focus from Gomah, positioning Arinsu as a potential main antagonist. An outlook backed by the Glind’s desire to acquire the throne of the Supreme Demon King. However, to fully cement Arinsu’s standing in the narrative, the initiatives the doctor employs to overthrow Gomah must also be addressed.

Dragon Ball Daima: The Difference Between Ki and Magic
Magic has always been a thing in Dragon Ball, but Daima is the first time the series has taken a deeper look at the Demon Realm's version of ki.
The Recreation Of The Strongest
The Essence Of Majin Buu
From the very beginning, Toriyama made it clear that Gomah is the only real threat Arinsu must face before any other. However, given the doctor’s strength, Gomah (The current Demon King) is too much to handle alone. Therefore, Arinsu decides to fetch aid to eliminate the child-sized wizard once and for all.
Gomah may not look like much, but he's quite powerful
And who better than the most powerful Majin, the demon realm has ever had to endure? To realize this dream, the tree-born gets in contact with Marba and travels to obtain the essence of an evil Majin. This essence, in particular, serves a single purpose: to create an entity that rivals the once-feared Majin Buu.
Arinsu, wasting no time, finds Majin Buu and eventually acquires the remains/essence of the demon. However, the fact that the substance could only be extracted after Majin Buu was blown to bits implies that Arinsu may have been glued (waiting for the right opportunity) from the very beginning. This could have been Toriyama's way of stressing the intricate depth of the Glind's plans, making Arinsu's importance to the narrative more than apparent.
Nevertheless, the gooey substance is taken back to the demon realm, and in only a year's worth of time, the plan succeeds, and the counterparts of Majin Buu are created (Majin Kuu And Majin Duu).
Redefining the Role of Majins
Unlike how it was with Bibidi, Arinsu’s saliva binds the Majins to be subservient to the Glind. Therefore, eliminating the risk of an outburst like the one fans witnessed Babidi facing from Fat Buu. A meticulously layered plan through which Toriyama highlights the inherently antagonistic nature of Arinsu.
Now, despite Kuu’s embarrassing battle prowess, episode 12 proves that even Arinsu cannot contend with the Majin’s intelligence. And once this brilliance is combined with Duu’s battle power, which is well beyond a Tamagami’s, there’s no way any Majin could oppose Arinsu. After all, not even Gomah can defeat a Tamagami.
However, even with such an asset, Marba’s claims about Majin Buu being a fluke and the insufficient knowledge at hand is nothing to scoff at. With Duu’s partial obedience and Kuu’s incompetence in combat, there’s no telling when the link with Arinsu could sever.
Insurance Against Failure
A Backup For Every Scenario
Understanding the probability of possible inconsistencies with the Majins, Arinsu has already prepared for the worst. Fans can observe this by returning to the beginning where Arinsu urges Gomah to take precautions against the imminent threat of the Saiyans. A concern that was originally proven to be a clear attempt at securing funding for research.
If such people were to invade the Demon Realm... I shiver at the thought!
However, with the release of Episode 6 (where Glorio is shown shamelessly contacting Arinsu), viewers got to know that this remark was made, to attract the Saiyans to the demon world. An act that demonstrates Arinsu’s ability to exploit Gomah’s insecurities and the revelation that her foresight is second to none. After all, a single remark caused so much chaos that the Z fighters were forced to travel between realms.
Furthermore, the arrival of the Z Fighters tips the scales in the doctor’s favor, pitting Gomah’s forces against beings of immense strength. Arinsu possibly intends to capitalize on this by allowing both sides to weaken one another before swooping in for the final strike. This tactic is a testament to the doctor’s ingenious planning as it involves the least resource expenditure from her side.
Arinsu’s Blunder: The Enslavement Collars
The Final Contingency
As fans, it is important to understand that the Glind has done everything that can be done to stay in the shadows. But little does Arinsu know that the doctor’s evil nature had already been made apparent to Goku when the concept of neck collars was brought into the series. After all, it was none other than Arinsu who helped create the system of enslavement that now governs the Makai world.
Knowing Goku, there’s no way the sequel would conclude with nothing being done about the corrupt system that everyone is forced to abide by. This slight misstep creates a rationale for the Z fighters to prevent this woman from stepping up to power and why Arinsu isn’t as much in the shadows as the doctor may like to be.
Nevertheless, as a true villain, Arinsu keeps Glorio alongside Goku and Nahare to ensure that everything goes smoothly until Gomah is dealt with. Moreover, to the doctor's surprise, the development of Goku's interest in fighting the Tamagamis led to another contingency that the doctor could now exploit.
Don't worry, If things go wrong... I'll use the Dragon Balls
In fact, by episode 12, the doctor has technically obtained all 3 of the Dragon Balls, as the ones in the Z fighter's possession can be snatched through Glorio. An instance that has left fans in anticipation of how Goku and the others may counter the evil schemes of Arinsu.
Conclusion
Without Arinsu’s involvement, Gomah would have done nothing of substance and is unlikely to add/evolve further than the character already has. Whereas, Arinsu has proven to be a compelling antagonist in every sense. The doctor’s self-serving nature, hunger for power, and calculated manipulations add meaningful depth and value to the narrative.
Therefore, considering how the story consistently forces Arinsu’s hand to be behind everything, it is reasonable to conclude that the Glind is the most likely candidate to be the final villain of Dragon Ball Daima. And although there’s a running theory that Neva (the old Namekian) could be hiding something far more sinister, there’s simply not enough evidence to expand on these suspicions yet.
