With the PlayStation 5 rumor mill in full swing, fans have been unable to do anything except patiently wait for more news about the next-gen console from Sony. Of course, new consoles also bring new controllers, and while there have been some leaks about the DualShock 5, very little is known about the controller. However, a new fan-made video does an excellent job of hyping it up.

The video, uploaded to YouTube by user?Giuseppe Spinelli, shows off a plethora of potential DualShock 5 features.?While the controller hasn't officially debuted yet, the video is about as close as one could hope to get to an official Sony production. It's worth noting that the features in the video haven't been confirmed by Sony, and are just speculation. That being said, there are some DualShock 5 controller features that may make games more immersive, so the video isn't that far off.

All in all, the video makes the DualShock 5 seem very similar to Microsoft's Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, mostly thanks to the carrying case found at the end of the video and the controller's paddles. It would be wonderful if a controller on par with the Elite Series 2 was included with the PlayStation 5, though that seems unlikely. Fans should find out whenever Sony finally holds a PlayStation 5 reveal event.

People are always quick to think of console hardware when next-gen systems are on the horizon, but controllers are frequently overlooked. However, controllers are, arguably, as important as the console itself, as the ergonomics can be difficult to balance and get right but are essential to the experience itself.? The best controllers of all time are all delicately balanced works, which has kept them relevant for generations.

Hopefully, Sony will have something to show fans soon. Rumors about the PlayStation 5 have reached a tipping point, and it seems like the console will be fully revealed any day now. As gamers anxiously await new information, they'll just have to keep playing through games with the DualShock 4, though that certainly isn't a bad thing, as it's considered by many to be one of Sony's best controllers yet. Still, the DualShock 5 just might be able to top it, if it's anything close to the fan video.
