When utilizing Diona, it is advised that players make use of her charged skill. With this, Diona's paws will be heavily increased in number, attack more enemies. Not only that, but it will also make her shield absorb more damage.

5 Xiangling

Placing her companion Guoba near an enemy will inflict them with Pyro damage from the bear's fire breath. Furthermore, when upgraded to its full potential, Guoba will also leave behind a chili that increases the player's attack for 10 seconds.

Strategically placing Guoba will make for the most element status infliction. When using this skill, make sure that the opponent will walk into Guoba's path. After Pyro status is applied to the opponent, switching to another character for elemental reactions will make for the best results.

4 Razor

Razor is a character that surprises the player at every turn, with skills that are complex and a backstory to draw fans in. His elemental skill is just as complex, featuring a claw attack that deals Electro damage. With the skills normal attack, a total of three Electro sigils will be collect; these increase Razor's energy recharge rate.

What makes this skill so interesting is its sheer amount of possible uses. Player's can use the skill as is for a collective energy recharge rate increase or convert the sigils into energy by using a charged attack. Either way, this skill increases the frequency of Razor's burst, making him a character with high potential as a DPS.

3 Lisa

Lisa was every tactician's first love in Genshin Impact, with a skill that was a little more complex than the other free characters. Lisa's skill applies a Conductive status to opponents, with a max of three status applicable to each opponent. These can be used to increase the strength of elemental reactions, or with her charged skill to apply extra damage.

When using Lisa, the player should be advised to also have a high-powered Cryo, Pyro, or Hydro character on her team. This way, players can increase the amount of elemental damage being applied to enemies. Kaeya is a very common choice, as he is also available to players for free.

2 Diluc

Granted, Diluc's skill may not be the most complex of the roster. However, it does have an interesting dynamic that isn't available in other characters. Offering a set of three gigantic flame slashes, Diluc can deal Pyro damage in quick succession.

Something that players should try is timing the skill on the third or final slash of Diluc's normal attack. This resets the normal attack without any pauses, allowing for 16 normal attacks and three skill attacks without stopping.

1 Qiqi

That said, what is most interesting is that the Herald of Frost will also heal the entire team. There isn't much strategy involved with using the Herald of Frost, seeing that it does a variety of activities completely on its own. It can even make ice bridges, putting even Kaeya to shame.
