In?Genshin Impact,?this is the role that Noelle's build plays with a skill that activates a shield and healing properties at the same time. This means that Noelle can heal herself and her teammates with every other hit while remaining untouchable by the opponent.
9 Beidou
Beidou is a character with a very tactical skill set, with can be built in a few ways. For one, her elemental skill requires her to be hit to deal maximum damage. Applying a temporary shield, holding the skill button, and getting hit will double damage at least.
Of course, how to best use this skill comes down to timing. The hold only lasts so long, so reading the enemy's movement to perfectly place an attack is the route to proper usage.
8 Tartaglia
The eleventh Fatui Harbinger is known for battle, and his elemental skill shows this. Switching from a bow to Hydro daggers, Tartaglia can easily change?combat strategies when fighting certain opponents. Tartaglia in the hands of a tactically sound player makes for unmatch potential, closing the distance of ranged opponents.
Tartaglia features fast-moving Hydro damage, so pairing him with a character that can passively apply elemental status would be opportune. Fischl and Xiangling are two common characters that come to mind, with both of their skills applying Electro and Pyro respectively.
7 Hu Tao
The entirety of Hu Tao's playstyle is designed to be different than any other character in the game. In short, Hu Tao does better when her health is lowest, with an ascension bonus that increases Pyro damage when her HP is below 50%. Her elemental skill is also designed to work with this, by consuming a portion of her HP to entire a Paramita Papilio state.
Hu Tao's skill also increases its attack bonus when her health is lower, making her an incredible DPS if the player can keep her alive. That said, with Pyro infused in her attacks, Hu Tao's skill is unmatched in all regards should the player utilize it properly.
6 Diona
Diona is not a common choice for?Genshin Impact?players, however, this is a mistake. Diona's skill has unique properties in that it applies not only a shield but also launches paw-shaped Cryo missiles. These missiles home-in on opponents, making it easy to hit even difficult to aim at opponents.
When utilizing Diona, it is advised that players make use of her charged skill. With this, Diona's paws will be heavily increased in number, attack more enemies. Not only that, but it will also make her shield absorb more damage.
5 Xiangling
The original polearm user obtainable in the Spiral Abyss, Xiangling has an incredible support elemental skill. Placing her companion Guoba near an enemy will inflict them with Pyro damage from the bear's fire breath. Furthermore, when upgraded to its full potential, Guoba will also leave behind a chili that increases the player's attack for 10 seconds.
Strategically placing Guoba will make for the most element status infliction. When using this skill, make sure that the opponent will walk into Guoba's path. After Pyro status is applied to the opponent, switching to another character for elemental reactions will make for the best results.
4 Razor
Razor is a character that surprises the player at every turn, with skills that are complex and a backstory to draw fans in. His elemental skill is just as complex, featuring a claw attack that deals Electro damage. With the skills normal attack, a total of three Electro sigils will be collect; these increase Razor's energy recharge rate.
What makes this skill so interesting is its sheer amount of possible uses. Player's can use the skill as is for a collective energy recharge rate increase or convert the sigils into energy by using a charged attack. Either way, this skill increases the frequency of Razor's burst, making him a character with high potential as a DPS.
3 Lisa
Lisa was every tactician's first love in Genshin Impact, with a skill that was a little more complex than the other free characters. Lisa's skill applies a Conductive status to opponents, with a max of three status applicable to each opponent. These can be used to increase the strength of elemental reactions, or with her charged skill to apply extra damage.
When using Lisa, the player should be advised to also have a high-powered Cryo, Pyro, or Hydro character on her team. This way, players can increase the amount of elemental damage being applied to enemies. Kaeya is a very common choice, as he is also available to players for free.
2 Diluc
Granted, Diluc's skill may not be the most complex of the roster. However, it does have an interesting dynamic that isn't available in other characters. Offering a set of three gigantic flame slashes, Diluc can deal Pyro damage in quick succession.
Something that players should try is timing the skill on the third or final slash of Diluc's normal attack. This resets the normal attack without any pauses, allowing for 16 normal attacks and three skill attacks without stopping.
1 Qiqi
Companion-type skills have been around since?Genshin Impact's?beginnings with Amber's Baron Bunny. But no character has a companion skill quite like Qiqi's Herald of Frost. This adorable yin-yang orb automatically attacks opponents around the player, dealing Cryo damage.
That said, what is most interesting is that the Herald of Frost will also heal the entire team. There isn't much strategy involved with using the Herald of Frost, seeing that it does a variety of activities completely on its own. It can even make ice bridges, putting even Kaeya to shame.
