Summary
- Genshin Impact chart reveals popular support characters for the latest DPS units like Mavuika.
- New regions have introduced special mechanics like Nightsoul and Bond-of-Life systems.
- An upcoming five-star support character, Yumizuki Mizuki, may impact usage rates.
An interesting Genshin Impact chart reveals the most-used supports for the recently added DPS units. Genshin Impact's combat system allows players to include up to four different characters in their party. Combining the elemental powers of these characters triggers various elemental reactions, which can produce on-field effects ranging from simple damage amplification to freezing enemies.
Genshin Impact's team compositions for most players typically include a main DPS unit supported by a powerful cast. Over the past couple of years, the game has introduced special mechanics such as the Nightsoul and Bond-of-Life systems, which are exclusive to the two most recent regions added to the game.

Genshin Impact Leaks Important Details About New Region for Update 5.5
A new Genshin Impact leak reveals key details about a map expansion in Update 5.5, which may feature Natlan's iconic volcano.
A Reddit user named Cumboocha_ shared a chart showcasing the go-to supports for some of the game's most popular DPS units. According to the list, the most popular support cast for the recently added Pyro Archon, Mavuika, includes Xilonen, Citlali, and Bennett. It’s no surprise that Mavuika works best with Natlan characters, considering her kit performs optimally when other Nightsoul abilities are active on the field. Xilonen is widely considered the best Geo support introduced in recent years, as her flexibility allows her to fit almost any team composition, unlike other Geo characters in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact: Most Used Support Characters for Natlan and Fontaine DPS Units
The Anemo DPS unit introduced in the previous update, Chasca, performs best when teamed with Furina, Ororon, and Bennett. As an Anemo DPS, Chasca benefits from having multiple elements in her team composition. Some fans expected to see more of Furina on this chart, given that she is often regarded as the best Hydro support in Genshin Impact.
Even though Mavuika is best suited for the main DPS role, she also works well as a sub-DPS for two other Natlan characters, Kinich and Mualani. One of Mualani's greatest strengths is her reliable Pyro application, which is not dependent on Energy. According to the chart, the overall most popular support pick for recently released DPS units remains Bennett. Genshin Impact's unluckiest adventurer is still considered an S-tier choice, despite being a four-star character released back in 2020.
Many players are excited to see how the upcoming five-star support, Yumizuki Mizuki, will impact these usage rates. Mizuki has been confirmed as a new Anemo support, suggesting she will likely fit into many different team compositions, similar to Kazuha and Venti. Travelers won’t have to wait long for Mizuki’s arrival, as she is scheduled to debut in the first phase of the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 5.4, which is expected to launch on February 12.
