Genshin Impact players are unhappy about the game's recent Sorush event in version 3.6 as HoYoverse prepares for the launch of the next major update. The Sorush event is one of the last major events in the Sumeru region before Genshin Impact players venture into Fontaine for the first time in version 4.0.

Genshin Impact's latest in-game event is The Recollector's Path, which many simply refer to as the Sorush event. Players reunite with Sorush in version 3.6's new desert area, helping her train to become a true Bloomguard in The Recollector's Path event. To facilitate Sorush's growth, several trials and event quests are available to complete over the course of six days. A plentiful bounty of Primogems, Ascension Materials, Mora, and much more may be earned by completing Sorush's trials, but many players are unhappy with how the Sorush event has turned out in Genshin Impact.

OramaBuffin and fellow Genshin Impact players are unhappy about the Sorush event, citing an overabundance of dialogue and a lack of meaningful content. Despite OramaBuffin's enjoyment of in-game dialogue and lore over the years, the user is skipping dialogue during the entire Sorush event to receive rewards as quickly as possible. Several players, including OramaBuffin, believe the Sorush event is bloated with convoluted dialogue that's causing burnout among longtime fans in the Genshin Impact community.

Some players believe the Sorush event is an all-time low for HoYoverse's writing quality as the developer prepares for future Genshin Impact updates. Additionally, commenter LilianCorgibutt and other users suggest that the community should send direct feedback to HoYoverse via the studio's support channels since the event is not well received by thousands of players. Others are skipping the event entirely, opting to read Genshin Impact wiki pages for a story synopsis of the Sorush event instead of participating.

The lack of concise and effective dialogue appears to be the Genshin Impact community's current consensus while discussing recent in-game events. Prolonged dialogue between gameplay activities may further highlight Genshin Impact's current problems if similar events are developed by HoYoverse. In the case of the Sorush event, players are skipping dialogue in order to reach the most engaging parts of the Sorush event and prevent themselves from burning out while playing Genshin Impact.

HoYoverse may want to take some cues from its most recent game release since Honkai: Star Rail addresses Genshin Impact's flaws while retaining elements that make both titles successful. Adjustments to writing and in-game dialogue may be beneficial for the upcoming Fontaine storyline in version 4.0 as well.

Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development.
