Before every new update arrives, Honkai: Star Rail features a beta that contains most of the upcoming content, including new playable characters. A new post on the Honkai: Star Rail subreddit has revealed gameplay footage featuring one of the two upcoming characters for Version 3.1, the five-star character Mydei. The video demonstrates how well Mydei performs when placed in team compositions that have powerful Honkai: Star Rail supports such as the recently released Sunday, Loucha, Gallagher, and the new Remembrance version of the main character. The footage shows two different team compositions, with the first one featuring Gallagher and the second Loucha.
Honkai: Star Rail: Mydei Playstyle and Team Comp Explained
The original tester confirmed that the performance difference between the two team compositions is minimal, but this can vary depending on the enemies. Previous beta leaks have revealed that Mydei will be a powerful DPS character who follows the Path of Destruction, which usually features characters with high damage output and decent sustain. Overall, fans seem satisfied with how Mydei performs in these team compositions, and some have pointed out that this test further proves Gallagher is one of the best four-star characters in Honkai: Star Rail.
Some comments also point out that Mydei's go-to support choice will probably be Sunday. Apart from the characters featured in the leak, Mydei is also expected to have great synergy with Honkai: Star Rail's Tribbie. Some players also claim that they will probably wait to see the beta leaks for Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.2 to see if any additional future roster additions will work well with this Destruction character.
Luckily, the fact that Mydei will be featured in the second part of Honkai: Star Rail update 3.1 means that players will have plenty of time to see similar beta leaks featuring Mydei and some of the 3.2 playable units. While Mydei and Tribbie are yet to officially join the roster, credible Honkai: Star Rail leakers have already started hinting that Version 3.2 will feature two new roster additions: Castorice and Anaxa.
