In Balur's Gate 3, players can defeat the antagonist Sarevok Anchev, known from the previous episodes of the BG series. Killing this Bhaalspawn during the playthrough of the Investigate the Murders quest will provide gamers with worthy rewards such as the Amulet of Bhaal, Sarevok's Sword of Chaos, and his helmet. This guide will provide fans with all the information they need if they decide to challenge Sarevok in Canduhollow Tombstones in Baldur's Gate 3.
How to Kill Sarevok Anchev in Baldur’s Gate 3
Sarevok Anchev is a rather powerful enemy in Baldur's Gate 3. In addition, he will be supported by buffs from such characters as Echoes of Amelyssan, Illasera, and Sendai. For this reason, players should use the following guidelines to make defeating Sarevok easier:
- Pick the strongest party members. The optimal companion combination for this fight is Astarion, Shadowheart, and Gale. This way, Astarion will provide cover, taking care of Echoes, Illasera, and Sendai, dealing damage to them from a distance. At the same time, Gale and Shadowheart will deal serious harm to Sarevok by casting spells on him.
- Have sufficient HP. Sarevok Anchev has strong attacks and can attack up to three times per turn, so players should make sure that their characters have a lot of HP. This will prevent the player from dying after the first turn of Sarevok.
- Fighting tactics. Since Amelyssan will cast Sanctuary on Sarevok, he will be invulnerable from time to time. In these moments, players are advised to hit him with Lightning or Fireballs, or any other area of effect attacks. Once the invulnerability passes, players need to hit the antagonist with all the spells available at their disposal, and make sure that Shadowheart maintains a recovery.
If players follow these guidelines when fighting Sarevok Anchev, they should defeat the antagonist with no problem at level 11, while Sarevok’s level is 16. Alternatively, they can use different characters to fight, namely Karlach and Lae'zel. These companions can be useful since they can hit several times per turn. Thus, gamers can deal with Sarevok quickly and easily. Nevertheless, players should note that this battle is not necessary, so they can avoid the fight by choosing to become Bhaalite Undead Assassin.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available now on PC and PS5, with an Xbox Series X/S version also in development.
