What’s a Once-Popular Subgenre You’d Like to See Make a Comeback?
I miss EA Sports BIG’s street sports games. FIFA Street, NBA Street, and NFL Street were all great fun and knew how to keep things lighthearted, never taking themselves too seriously. FIFA (the federation) cracking down on the FIFA Street series' brutal slide tackles seemed to mark the beginning of the end for EA Sports BIG and their street titles, but a comeback should still be possible... or maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
Do You Think the Blast From the Past Event is Connected to the Release of The Sims Legacy Collection?
Some members of?The Sims?community have started theorizing that The Blast From the Past event taking place in-game right now could be connected to the recently released Legacy Collection. There are several missing-person milk cartoons being given away as rewards in the event, and they feature?Sims 2?characters. Fans believe there could be a connection here and maybe even a full-blown Into the Future expansion pack coming soon. Given? The Sims's recent anniversary, I think this is just an item that alludes to the franchise's past. I also believe this is why the event is time travel-themed.
Looking Back, Do You Prefer Civ 6 Or Civ 5?
For as much as people didn't like the art style and major changes going from?Civ 5?to?Civ 6, over time, I came to like?Civilization 6?a lot more. It's aged better than?Civ 5?in a lot of respects, and to be honest, I never disliked its cartoony art style. At least it being colorful and cartoony made it easy to tell what's on each tile!
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 VS Mount & Blade: Warband – Which Is The Better Medieval Sim?
I have yet to play?Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?myself but have seen and heard plenty about how amazing it is at being both a medieval sim and a deep, crunchy RPG. I have heard that the combat can sometimes feel wonky, though, and it made me think of how much I liked?the grand-scale combat of?Mount and Blade: Warband?(and later entries in the series). The game doesn't have the in-depth choices and living world of?KCD2, but in my opinion, there's no game that's ever come as close to creating that feeling of leading a medieval army as?Mount and Blade.
Rocket's Ultimate in Marvel Rivals is Severely Underrated
Rocket's ult provides a 40% damage boost, which is enough to make heroes like Thor, Winter Soldier, and the Punisher deal enough damage to burst Luna through her ultimate. I firmly believe this is one of the best counters against a triple healer comp, and it's a shame that not many other players realize that.
Civ 7’s UI Is Pretty But Needs a Lot of Work
The?Civ 7?UI is very aesthetically pleasing. However, it is far from perfect. I haven't played the game on PC yet but I've had quite a lot of issues using the menus on Xbox. When I use the menu to talk to the city-states and then go back, it forces me out of the Leader screen entirely. So, if I have several things I want to do there, I have to keep reopening it. On top of that, I can't properly use the Civilopedia because the game doesn't let me reach the Search bar. So, I have to wander almost aimlessly through the categories until I find what I'm looking for.
Who Has The Weakest Ultimate in Marvel Rivals?
I still think Adam Warlock has the least impactful ultimate in Marvel Rivals, and I find it ironic that out of all the supports, he's the one who misses out on an invulnerability/mass healing ability. Reviving the entire team for a duration is nice, but there are too many drawbacks to Adam's ult compared to other Strategists.
The Polygonal Monsters From the MH Wilds Beta Deserve to Go Down in the Series' History
I can't remember a technical issue that made me laugh as much as the polygon monsters in the MH Wilds open beta tests. Imagine my surprise when a flying potato chip swooped down and attacked the Arkveld I was fighting. It's an unfortunate bug, for sure, but you have to admit, it's pretty funny.
What Are Your First Impressions of Civ 7?
I've been playing?Civ 7?since advanced access started. I have about 30 hours of playtime so far, but I'm still on the fence about it. It's fun that Ages feel so different from each other, but I don't like that we lose so much of what we worked for in the previous Age. It makes it feel like it's not that worth it, which sucks when you have to put about four hours into the first two Ages. On top of that, unless you take down all of your opponents, the Victory Conditions can only be achieved in the Modern Age, which is a shame.
Who's the Most Tragic Character in The Hunger Games?
Even though this can be overshadowed at first due to his sarcastic remarks and iffy temper, Haymitch has had to endure more than many of the other characters. He was chosen for The Hunger Games on his birthday. As the only District 12 mentor, he had to see all of the other Tributes die over the years. His family and girlfriends were killed by President Snow. And, he turned to alcoholism to deal with all of this. Overall, Haymitch has never been able to find happiness and has lost just about everyone he cares about. Most characters in?The Hunger Games?have had tragic lives, but which one do you feel had it hardest?
Do Frequent Saves and Checkpoints Kill the Tension in Horror Games?
When death is only a minor setback costing 30 seconds of progress, it can take the edge off the tension. Enemies feel less threatening when you know mistakes have little consequence. I wasn't scared playing Outlast until I tried Insane Mode, which removes save points completely. This forces players to play the game as intended - cautiously sneaking around and hiding under beds, as opposed to just trying to blitz through, secure in the knowledge that you can keep trying again without any real punishment.
What's Your Most Controversial Skyrim Opinion?
I'll be honest, I don't think I have an unpopular or controversial opinion myself. I think the "spiciest" take I have is that stealth archer, despite being satisfying to play, is incredibly boring in the long run as a build.
What Do You Think of The Save System in The Kingdom Come: Deliverance Series?
I'm not a fan of the Saviour Schnapps system, honestly. I understand that it's a deliberate design choice to make the game more immersive and to make death more meaningful, but I'd rather enjoy the game casually and at my own pace without having to worry about things like that. However, I do believe it'd be a good thing to have for a Hardcore difficulty or something similar.
What TV Show Do You Consider Your Guilty Pleasure?
There are two reality shows that I consider guilty pleasures:?Too Hot to Handle?and?90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. They're so entertaining that whenever there's a new season, it's hard for me to put it down. My boyfriend judges me for it but always ends up watching it with me.
What NPC Needs to Return for the Next Mass Effect Game?
In?Mass Effect 2, players will become acquainted with Ereba and Charr. The krogan, Charr, is in love with the asari, Ereba. And it is up to players to decide if they want to help the krogan so the asari can fall in love with him or ignore this quest entirely. Unfortunately, Charr loses his life in?Mass Effect 3,?but if gamers completed the quest and helped their love blossom, Ereba will be expecting his child in?ME3. I would love to see this character again, especially if she has already given birth to Charr's child.
What Are Your Thoughts on the New Destiny 2 Dungeon Sundered Doctrine?
Sundered Doctrine was released on February 7th, and it's the first Dread dungeon Bungie has done. I really like the Dread aesthetically, and Rhulk's pyramid was always a place I wanted to revisit after experiencing Vow of the Disciple on day 1. It was cool to see more raid-like mechanics implemented into a dungeon format, though I'm pretty sure I'm forever traumatized by those enemy Threadlings in the final encounter.
What's Your Favorite New Feature in Civilization 7?
An Economic Victory option was at the top of my Civ 7 wishlist, so I'm delighted to see it included!
What Was Your First Monster Hunter Game?
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the PSP was the one that started it all for me. I used to play multiplayer with my best friend back in high school, and he was the one that showed me the ropes. I had no idea what I was doing, but it was one of the best multiplayer experiences I ever had. However, I didn't get super deep into the series until Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii.
Magicka Deserves The Helldivers 2 Treatment
I know that Magicka is a fundamentally different game, but I'd really love to see this series get rebuilt and revived the same way Helldivers did. Slinging spells and unleashing elemental chaos from a third-person perspective sounds like a lot of fun, provided Arrowhead can make a new Magicka game that's as epic and cinematic as Helldivers 2.
What's The Most Stressful PvE Game You've Played?
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the first game that comes to mind when it comes to a sweaty PvE experience. Auric Damnation missions can be extremely hectic, and if those weren't enough, Havoc missions exist to truly test the limits of one's build, skill, and patience.
