This leak was accurate to a number of details confirmed in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii's reveal trailer, such as how the beloved Goro Majima is the spin-off's protagonist and the game being set after the events of Infinite Wealth. The leak was also accurate in how it featured two fighting styles, similar to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, with one of Majima's styles being based on swashbuckling and being a pirate. It also accurately leaked how the game would be revealed in 2024, its Hawaiian setting, and the island of Madlantis.
