A Minecraft player has taken on the brave challenge of making a building using every type of block available in the game. In Minecraft players have countless possibilities to explore using the game's blocks. These blocks basically form the basis of everything the player sees and can touch.
The blocks in Minecraft can serve multiple purposes within the game, the most basic of which is to bring the player's base to life. In addition, blocks are the basis of biomes, procedurally generated buildings (villages, pyramids), and even water can be collected as a block. Players can mine or craft blocks, and sometimes a Minecraft player will be really lucky to find one of the rarest blocks in the game. Even cosmetic items and tools are created from blocks, making Minecraft an experience of a continuous cycle of harvesting and using resources.
While there are Minecraft blocks ideal for building, user SushiMort posted on Reddit the result of their project: to build a house using at least one of every Minecraft block. For the challenge, SushiMort had two other rules: every block should be visible, and the house needs to look good, rather than being a random gathering of blocks. The complete creation process is on the user's YouTube channel, showing how long SushiMort took to make the build. The result is a house that is distinguished by having six parts with different shades of color, reflecting the variety of blocks in Minecraft.
The build made by SushiMort became a hit on the Minecraftbuilds subreddit, where the post received over 4,000 upvotes and many positive reactions. One of the users upon seeing the post made the amusing comment that the house created by SushiMort "is proof that there are no ugly blocks." In a curious detail, SushiMort revealed that only two types of blocks were not used: the structure blocks and the command blocks, which are also used in fun ideas created within Minecraft. Another highlight of the project is the final image, which thanks to the rendering gained an even more colorful look.
Minecraft currently has over 800 blocks available, making it incredible to imagine Minecraft blocks that no longer exist in the game. This variety is the perfect ingredient for players to make almost anything they want or create challenges as SushiMort did. The player's idea stands out even more because it is something you don't often see: usually players use selections of specific blocks to achieve certain results. It also reinforces, once again, the great creativity of the Minecraft community.
Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
