A Pokemon fan drew what they thought Tinkaton would look like if it were from the Galar region. In Generation 7 of the RPG series, the concept of regional variants were added to the game. These alternate Pokemon forms brought new life to older pocket monsters, bringing back older creatures that had not been seen in some time.
Fans of Game Freak's games like to imagine their own regional variant Pokemon. This has led to incredible ideas and artwork as fans of the series let their imaginations run wild. One gamer did that with the Fairy/Steel-Type Tinkaton by coming up with a Galarian version of the pocket monster.
A Reddit user known as Miconomicon posted a drawing of their version of a Galarian Tinkaton. While the Pokemon itself does not change much, the hammer it wields goes through a drastic transformation. The weapon's handle has grown significantly longer, with its head gaining sharp edges and a darker coloring. The pocket monster still has the same smile that it does in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, though the larger hammer makes it feel a little devious. Miconomicon's design is clever and would be interesting to see in-game.
The Galarian Tinkaton has gained a lot of fans, as the post that Miconomicon shared is almost at 20,000 upvotes. Some commenters have said they love the fact that the hammer was the only part that got bigger and not the Pokemon itself. Some users have stated that the design could be the Warhammer Titan from Attack on Titan, while others have made references to Harley Quinn from various DC properties. One fan even joked that the Galarian version of the pocket monster decided punting rocks was an unnecessary step in Corviknight hunting and discovered that a sky hammer would work better. Miconomicon's design looks great and is an interesting alternate take on one of the newest Pokemon to join the franchise.
Tinkaton originated in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and can be considered one of the biggest bullies that the series has ever seen. Its pre-evolutions are known to take steel from other pocket monsters in order to make their hammers and will even attack groups of Pawniard and Bisharp to use the metal in their bodies for materials. Tinkaton will use its giant hammer to knock rocks into the sky, aiming at Corviknights that are flying by. The Pokemon and its evolutionary line have a cute appearance but possess a dark and savage side that can offset the adorableness of the pocket monster.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
