See AllWhat Was Your First Monster Hunter Game?
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the PSP was the one that started it all for me. I used to play multiplayer with my best friend back in high school, and he was the one that showed me the ropes. I had no idea what I was doing, but it was one of the best multiplayer experiences I ever had. However, I didn't get super deep into the series until Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii.
Swimming in Monster Hunter: Yay or Nay?
While Lagiacrus in Monster Hunter Tri is one of my favorite monsters, I personally did not enjoy fighting it underwater. Especially if you're using a heavy weapon like the Great Sword, it's literally impossible to do much damage. If you were able to switch your weapons back in the day like you can now in Wilds, things might've been different haha.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Is Perfect for Newcomers
There's been some controversy surrounding the release of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black about cut content from previous editions and whatnot. However, as someone who really hasn't dabbled much in the series before, I'm finding this game to be nothing short of incredible. Has anyone else been playing this as a Ninja Gaiden first-timer?
Are You Still Battling in Pokemon TCG Pocket?
I still open my packs every day (and I'm subscribed to the premium pass), but I don't really have that much fun battling anymore. Unless there are some new promo cards to collect, there's not a lot bringing me back to duels.
Are You Gonna Play the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta?
The next beta hunting times for Monster Hunter Wilds will happen over the course of two weekends in early February, but I won't be playing. I kinda skipped out on the first demo as well. I would rather just avoid major spoilers and experience the full game once it's out. Sometimes, playing a demo or beta of something can sour the experience for me, at least for the start of a game.
Donkey Kong Country Returns Lowkey Has Some of the Hardest Collectibles
When it comes to series like Kirby and Mario, most collectibles aren't too hard to find. Sure, there's the odd stage here and there with a super obscure thing to find, but Nintendo's franchises are generally a simple affair to 100%. However, DK Country Returns is the opposite. I went through the first stage of the new HD version (having already played the original) and went to the end with three missing puzzle pieces. I honestly love how difficult it is and, I cannot wait to, hopefully, collect everything there is to get.

Super Mario Odyssey
The perfect platformer. A game that begs to be replayed. A true accomplishment for Nintendo!

Trauma Center: Under The Knife 2
Using a stylus on DS to perform miracle surgeries may not sound fun, but man, this series is in full need of a comeback.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Not one of my fav Zelda games in recent years, but the whole Echo mechanic is truly something unique. I just hope it carries over to future games, but in an expanded and more easier to use way.

Luigi's Mansion
People kinda hated on Luigi's Mansion for being too different (and also quite short), but the quick length made for the perfect puzzle box filled with interesting ghosts, spooky challenges, and entertaining bosses.

Kid Icarus: Uprising
The best of the 3DS. Amazing visuals, an actually fun multiplayer mode, compelling dialog, and a narrative that didn't take itself too seriously.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The best open-world game ever made IMO. The perfect map that pushes you towards a goal but lets you go with the flow and venture off the beaten path. Every discovery feels so rewarding; the danger is real (especially at the beginning), and the story (while kinda disjointed) still tugs at the heartstrings.

Infinity Nikki
I played through to the end of the main storyline (so far) in Infinity Nikki and actually had a pretty fun time with it. Even through the game has like 5% combat, it's still enjoyable to do the platforming challenges, dress up Nikki for outfit challenges, and do random quests for people. It's genuinely a charming, eye-popping game that doesn't feel like it's f2p.

Yeah, it's so good! Don't worry too much about the story stuff. It's all about the action!
What's That One Really Long Game You Need to Finish?
I didn't finish it either. That final questline was annoying and obtuse for no reason.
What's That One Really Long Game You Need to Finish?
Ooof. Good luck with playing two Persona games at once!
What's That One Really Long Game You Need to Finish?
Good luck! It took me a couple of years to see the end of that one, but I think it's worth the ride.
What Game Will Get You To Buy a Nintendo Switch 2?
Nintendo could literally release this without a single 'new' game, and I'm still getting it on day one.
Can Visuals Save An Otherwise Bad Game?
Totally agree. There are some crappy games out there that are saved by just looking pretty.
What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 17, 2025)
DK Country Returns HD, babyyyy. I never played the 3DS one, so I'm pumped to see the added levels :)
