A new The Rose of Versailles movie trailer was released in Japan. The tickets are already on sale in Japan, but no international release is confirmed so far, but it might end up landing on streaming services such as Crunchyroll.
The Rose of Versailles, also known as Lady Oscar, is a classic shōjo first serialized from 1972 to 1973, originally compiled into 10 volumes. In 1974, creator Riyoko Ikeda serialized The Rose of Versailles Gaiden, compiled into two volumes.
The new PV shows the pre-French Revolution France, focusing on Marie Antoniette and original manga character Oscar Fran?ois de Jarjayes, but we can also see a few other characters, such as André Grandier. It also previews the theme song, "Versailles/Berusaiyu". The movie is scheduled to premiere on January 31, 2025. Check out below:
