Stardew Valley is more than just an adorable farming simulator; it’s an incredibly detailed and engaging game where you can lose yourself for hours tending to your crops, fishing in the river, or finding hidden areas and secrets. A hidden Easter Egg that many Stardew Valley players don’t know about is that they actually get visited by a special guest on the night before the Feast of the Winter Star. The best part is that Santa would actually leave a gift for you — if you complete certain preparations before his arrival.

How To Get A Gift From Santa in Stardew Valley
Santa's visit to Pelican Town is a special event that happens on the night of Winter 24th, the day before the Feast of the Winter Star in Stardew Valley. If you keep your eyes peeled on the night before Winter Star – you might just catch a glimpse of Santa flying over your farm.
To get a gift from Santa, you need to leave him a little treat. A simple offering of Milk or a freshly baked Cookie
placed on a table in your farmhouse is all it takes to entice him. It doesn't matter if it's regular, large, or even a gold-quality treat; Santa appreciates the gesture regardless.
You can leave both Cookies and Milk to get an extra surprise from Santa, but since each table can only hold one item, you'll need to place two tables if you want to offer him both Milk and Cookies. Leaving out multiple Milk cartons or multiple Cookies on the same table won't result in extra gifts.
In return for your thoughtfulness, Santa will leave a special surprise in its place: a Mystery Box filled with all sorts of goodies, from useful seeds and valuable resources to other curious trinkets in Stardew Valley. It's a small token of appreciation from the big man himself, a little bit of holiday magic delivered straight to your farm.
Remember, these preparations must be completed before the night of Winter 24th. If you wait until the 25th, you'll miss Santa's visit and his gift. Since this event only happens once a year, it's a good idea to set things up in advance to avoid forgetting.
How To Get Milk and Cookies in Stardew Valley
By this point in the game, you’ll probably have access to a steady supply of Milk from your cows. All adult cows produce Milk every day, which can be collected using a Milk Pail.
On the other hand, Cookies require a bit more effort to make, though you should be able to obtain them without too much trouble before the end of Winter. You can get the recipe for Cookies during Evelyn’s four-heart event or purchase it from the Stardrop Saloon for 300g.
When you get the recipe, you can make Cookies in the kitchen with the following ingredients:
- 1 Wheat Flour
- 1 Sugar
- 1 Egg
