When new World of Warcraft expansions come out, and when new content releases in WoW Classic under its seasonal schedule, Blizzard tends to add a bunch of new servers so players can start their experiences completely fresh. In the Season of Discovery, there are not only the typical servers in the North American and European regions, but also two in Australia.

WoW SoD: All Phase 1 & 2 Rogue Runes
Rogues get lots of great DPS runes in the Season of Discovery, as well as the ability to Tank, making them a great choice for PvP and PvE both.
But this time, Blizzard has done something different with its server naming conventions. Traditionally, EU and NA servers (and other regions) would have completely different names. In WoW SoD servers have the same name, and same realm type, in both regions. This guide reveals the names and types of servers each region can connect to, as well as some basic meta information about each realm – like where the Streamers are.
Every Season of Discovery Server (& Server Type)
In the WoW Season of Discovery, just like in regular vanilla WoW, players can choose between four different server types. PvE servers don't allow open-world PvP unless toggled manually, while PvP servers allow players of opposite factions to attack each other no matter what. RP servers can be either PvE or PvP oriented, though roleplaying aficionados tend to go for RP PvP servers to live out the faction warfare fantasy.
In WoW SoD, servers are split into two major regions: NA, and EU. Interestingly, AU servers are listed alongside NA servers, so OCE players have somewhere relatively lag-free to go, too. The AU servers have unique names, but both the NA and EU servers have the exact same names. Crusader Strike is an RP PVP realm on NA, and it's also an RP PVP realm on EU, though the two servers are distinct from one another.
This can make navigating online information about servers confusing, so just make sure to check which region is being referred to on official Blizzard posts (and blue posts in the WoW forums).
