The Goddess Statues have always been around in the long line of The Legend of Zelda games, and there do seem to be some implications to make about them in regards to LoZ's lore. But, the ones in both Breath of the Wild and its sequel Tears of the Kingdom serve a unique purpose. In Tears of the Kingdom specifically, Link will bring 4 or more Blessings of Light (received from completing Zonai Shrines) and can then choose to receive either a Stamina or Heart Container upgrade in exchange.

An open-world game doesn't have to have an extraordinary environment to be good, as proven by these video games.

All that said, Tears of the Kingdom doesn't quite hold the hands of its players as much as BotW did at the start and a lot of players aren't 'stumbling' into settlements with Goddess Statues as quickly as one might think. So, let's go over the locations of every single Statue found across Hyrule so that players will always know where to look.

Updated October 27th, 2023 by Jacob Buchalter: Getting around the map in Tears of the Kingdom is surprisingly easy, despite how massive the game's map seems to be. This is due to the fact that Link has the ability to fast travel from place to place using the Purah Pad and the Zonai Shrines. However, another landmark that players will always want to keep an eye out for in their long adventure are Goddess Statues. Not only are these Statues tied to a couple of very important Side Quests in the game, but they also function as the NPCs that Link uses to trade Blessings of Light for additional Heart Containers or Stamina. There are over 15 of these Goddess Statues to be found in the game, so let's go over each and every one of their locations.

The Temple Of Time

Great Sky Island

The first Goddess Statue that every single Tears of the Kingdom player will be forced to use (until speedrunners somehow find a way to skip the tutorial entirely) is the one at the end of the Temple of Time on the Great Sky Island. This large airborne landmass functions as this game's Great Plateau, AKA it's tutorial area, where Link receives his new unique abilities for this game with Ascend, Fuse, Ultrahand, and Recall.

After getting all of them, Link will need to use Recall to reverse the water wheels in the Temple to get himself to the top. There, he'll need to give the four Blessings of Light he got from the tutorial shrines to get a Heart Container so that he can open the door to leave and descend to Hyrule below.

Lookout Landing's Emergency Shelter

Lookout Landing

Surface (Underground)

For players who immediately wandered off to explore Hyrule again after landing on the surface from the tutorial, finding a Goddess Statue was likely pretty difficult. Unless they followed the main story thread and went straight to Lookout Landing, they'd have to Fast Travel back up to the Temple of Time to turn in their Blessings of Light or happen upon a Goddess Statue somewhere else.

Thankfully, once they get to Lookout Landing and talk to Purah (who has nothing to say about the disappearance of all Sheikah tech, by the way), they'll now have access to a much more easily accessible Goddess Statue. To find it, just talk to Scorpis in the courtyard, have him open the entrance to the Emergency Shelter below, and head down into it to find the Goddess Statue against the wall almost directly across from the ladder.

Kakariko Village

Kakariko Village

Next up is the Goddess Statue in Kakariko Village, which is likely the one most players unconsciously remember from Breath of the Wild. Thankfully, it's a lot easier for people to locate Kakariko Village in this game, as a giant ring-shaped ruin is situated directly above it this time around. Once Link gets to Kakariko, just head to the Village Head's house (who is Paya now, as Impa is busy in her hot-air balloon). Directly across from it should be the central courtyard of the Village with a small pond and a Goddess Statue square in the middle of it.

Hateno Village

Terrain

Hateno Village - Village Head's Home

Surface

This next Goddess Statue in Hateno Village is even easier to find than the rest. Once players get to Hateno and adjust to its new fungi-inspired 'stylish' aesthetic, they need to head to the Village Head's house. For reference, this house is just past the Dye Shop heading into the Village on the left-hand side.

Players should be able to recognize the home visually as it's the only one with an 'archway' leading into its front yard. Once Link locates it, just head to the right side of their front yard to see the Goddess Statue tucked into this seemingly custom-built little 'home' for the Statue.

Tarrey Town

Terrain

Tarrey Town

Akkala Highlands

Surface

Tarrey Town is back in Tears of the Kingdom and this time Link doesn't need to build it from the ground up. No, Tarrey Town is already well-built and high above the ground itself. And, it's also where Link goes to buy himself a dream home (after he helps Hudson with some family issues first).

Once players reach Tarrey Town above the Hudson Construction Site, the Goddess Statue should be pretty easy to see, sitting there right in the middle of the fountain-like display in the middle of the Town courtyard, right underneath the Town Bell.

Link's Home (Kaepora Pass)

Akkala Highlands

Technically this next Statue is 'outside' of Tarrey Town, but it's less than a mile away from it and Hudson Construction owns the land, so it may as well be included as part of the Town.

This is the plot of land that Link can buy and steadily build his Dream Home on, piece by piece near Kaepora Pass. And, one of the pieces he can purchase from Granteson is a room with a Goddess Statue in it, which means this Goddess Statue can be found where players want to place it on their patch of land.
