Sony's lineup of free PlayStation Plus games for January 2025 is now available to redeem in the PlayStation Store. This month's free PlayStation Plus games include one of 2024's most controversial games for PlayStation 5, namely Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League from Batman: Arkham series developer Rocksteady Studios.
Every month, Sony introduces free PlayStation Plus games that subscribers in all subscription tiers (Essential, Extra, and Premium) may redeem and keep as long as their subscription renews. December 2024's PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup included It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent and Temtem, which were all available to add to game libraries until Monday, January 6. On New Year's Day, Sony revealed its January 2025 PlayStation Plus games lineup, which went live on Tuesday, January 7.

The only game out of the three that doesn't have a native PS5 version or upgrade is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered for PS4, which requires a modest 31.55 GB for the fan-favorite racing game. It's also worth noting that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered doesn't take advantage of the PS5's enhanced features, but it can be playable without issues via backwards compatibility.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is the only title in the lineup with native PS4 and PS5 versions, and it's an expanded re-imagining of the original 2013 game with new features, including improved accessibility options and content warnings. Additionally, the file sizes for both versions are meager at just 5.10 GB on PS4 and 5.77 GB on PS5.
PlayStation Plus subscribers wanting to add all three games to their library must ensure they have at least 117 GB of free storage space on PS5. PlayStation is expected to reveal the free PlayStation Plus games lineup for February 2025 near the end of January, and there will be plenty of new PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games being added to the service throughout the year as well.
