"Purify! The Scent in the Cavern" is an early side quest in Infinity Nikki that teaches players how to craft Whim Fragrances. These useful tools allow you to alter and improve NIkki's combat abilities in various ways. How to Start Purify! Scent in the Cavern in Infinity Nikki
Head to Dreamwoven Ruins:
"Purify! Scent in the Garden" is located in Florawish, and can be completed very early in Infinity Nikki. To begin the quest, look for the blue side-quest marker on the map just south of the Dreamwoven Ruins. The Dream Warehouse Tower Warp Spire is just northwest of the desired location. You can also use the Secret Base Warp Spire to the northeast.
When you approach the quest marker, you'll see a man named Eremita sweeping the ground. Speak to Eremita, and he'll tell you of a nearby treasure. However, before he explains more, you'll need to defeat three nearby Esselings. Once you've proven your ability, Eremita will explain that the treasure is in the cavern near the Dream Warehouse.
The desired destination is the Warehouse Cavern, which is found just to the northwest of the Secret Base.

How to Get Herbal Scent in Infinity Nikki
Warehouse Cave Upper Level:
When you enter the Warehouse Cavern, it will be a straight path until you reach the first large chamber. Here, you'll have to deal with the first small group of Esselings. Once you clear the first chamber, you'll need to look for a section that opens up into the next major chamber. Look for an opening and several rock ledges lined with Bling.
These ledges will drop you down into a lower chamber. Continue along the main path until you reach the chamber with the Emerald Pool photo spot. There are ledges around the outer edge of the chamber, and then across the center, that lead to the path to the upper level of the cavern.
When you reach the upper level, follow the path of Esselings as they wind around the rocks. Look for lines of Bling that also help mark the correct path. Continue making your way up each ledge until you reach a much smaller corridor. When you enter this smaller cave area, you'll see a large group of Esselings guarding a chest. This chest contains Herbal Scent.
How to Craft Traveler's Musings:
Once you get Herbal Scent, you can return to Eremita. He will explain the basics of Whim Fragrance usage, and ask you to craft it before you leave. To do this, you'll need to enter the Heart of Infinity from the radial menu. The majority of Whim Fragrances are on the right side of the Heart of Infinity. You'll find Traveler's Musings very close to the Purification outfit node.
To unlock this Whim Fragrance sketch, you'll need:
- Herbal Scent
- 10,000 Bling
Once you have the sketch unlocked, go into the main Sketches crafting menu. There, enter the Whim Fragrance section, and you should see the Traveler's Musings sketch. To craft this Whim Fragrance, you'll need:
- Herbal Scent
- Tricky Patch x20
- Thread of Purity x50
Crafting Traveler's Musings will complete "Purity! Scent in the Cavern." To equip this item, enter the Whim Fragrance section of the Wardrobe menu. There, you'll see every available item in the three Whim Fragrance categories.
