Capcom's?Resident Evil 2 has done a great job at both bringing back fans of the original game from 1998, while also attracting the attention of newcomers to the series. By rebuilding the lore and setting from the ground-up, the developer has stayed true to the formula of the original, without feeling too familiar either.
No matter which story players choose to start with, collecting memos and files lying around are crucial to finding clues to completing puzzles and unlocking safes and lockers, which offer additional benefits to both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield's respective weapon and equipment layouts. The tricky part about finding every file, however, is that it requires not just one, but four separate playthroughs in order to collect all of them.
This list distinguishes the name of every file in the game, where they're located, and whether or not they're exclusive to a specific character or playthrough. By finding all of the files in?Resident Evil 2, players will, in turn, receive the Lore Explore trophy / achievement.

While the halls of the police department and tunnels in the sewers are littered with files, they aren't the only collectibles players should be looking out for. While finding extra items and gear are essential to bettering player's chancing for survival, they won't help much when it comes to the horrifyingly stalking Mr. X in each story campaign. While there's already an incentive for players to replay the game to better their playthrough ranks, those enjoying?Resident Evil 2?still have more free updates to look forward to, with the Ghost Survivors DLC coming in the next few weeks.
Resident Evil 2?is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
