After quite some time, both the PS5 and Xbox Series X games showcases have happened. There's plenty to be excited about from Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart to Halo Infinite and Avowed. Much more was revealed and is seemingly on the way, as both PS5 and Xbox Series X's showcases are rumored for August. More games may be shown, but the next big question to be addressed for each is the price point and release date, hopefully.

Nonetheless, the first two showcases were indeed impressive, yet one game has managed to reign supreme (in terms of views) moving into next-gen. According to Independent Video Game Industry Analyst Benji-Sales, Spider-Man: Miles Morales had the fastest viewed trailer out of everything shown at both the PS5 and Xbox Series X event.

Coming in second to Spider-Man: Miles Morales is Halo Infinite, followed by Horizon Forbidden West. Spider-Man is also as clear winner, as it achieved more views on the first day than either Halo or Horizon did in 2 days. Notably, Benji also outlines that Horizon had more views on an individual trailer than Halo, but that official uploads for Halo were higher. Halo had two official trailers go up on the official Xbox and Halo channels, while Horizon views were "condensed."

Despite everything shown at the two showcases, it's not altogether that surprising that Spider-Man: Miles Morales emerged on top. Not only did 2018's Spider-Man PS4 launch to stellar reviews, it quickly became the fastest-selling first-party Sony game in history at the time, as well as the fastest-selling super hero game of all time. A follow-up to it in any shape or form is basically a recipe for success, although it remains to be seen how Miles Morales follows in the footsteps of Peter Parker.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to launch this fall, although an exact release date has yet to be given. This is due to it likely releasing day-and-date with the PS5, but if the rumors about another PS5 showcase in August are true, then perhaps Miles Morales will get a new trailer with a release date as well. Perhaps that trailer will be a second big hit for the game, as many are no doubt ready for some more web-slinging action.
